Shady Days Portfolio

Here is a selection of some of the different installations we have carried out.

COCO Boutiques
Shady Days and COCO Boutique have worked together for many years helping the owner, Heather through her journey of expansion with two shops in Market Rasen one in Waltham and more recently one in Brigg. Heather told me once “I can get your services cheaper somewhere else, but you just know what looks right and always use quality products and will always deliver on time and on budget”

Shady Days fitted safety & security film to Heathers first shop in Market Rasen several years ago now, which impressively withstood a breakin atempt.  The perpetrators threw a brick at the windows around twenty times but only managed to make a small hole just large enough to squeeze an arm through and grab a few items from the immediate window area. The film also stopped shards of glass contaminating the whole shop therefore saving thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Trident clear and tinted window films giving solar and security protection to these shop windows.

Adding 'Fun' to 'Function'
Shady Days first customer to have reflective blue window film fitted to their conservatory chose this because it complemented the already blue glass roof of the conservatory. With similar heat rejection figures as the very popular daylight natural 35% (DN35) the MBL35 (Mirror Blue 35%) makes a striking statement. It makes a grey day look like a blue sky and a sunny day look like a tropical sky and it doesn’t make the room feel cold because we associate blue sky with a warm day. Since then we have fitted Mirror Blue to many other conservatories and also the front windows of a shop, creating a striking effect, whilst stopping the cheese from melting on the counters.

Award Received For Customer Service
Shady Days have been awarded the prestigious The Guild of Master Craftsmen award for customer satisfaction. After giving the Guild random names of our customers who were then contacted by the Guild and asked if they were satisfied with our services - the result speaks for itself. This is an ongoing process and we are continually monitored by the Guild to ensure our standards are kept to the highest levels.

City Living
Window films can be used in an architectural way too; there are so many places such as kitchen splash backs or balcony glazing which can be transformed with a dash of colour. Shady Days were approached by a customer who lived in Lincoln City Centre who wanted to modernise his balcony. He called at our premises to drop off his glazing and choose the colour he liked best for this application. The effect we created gives a striking look which is complemented by his chrome patio set and modern stainless steel railings.

Keeping The Heat Out!
One of our clients who had just moved into a new home discovered they had both a privacy and heat gain issue in two of their rooms. They asked if we could do anything to help; well of course we could. We applied the most suitable film for this application as the client wanted a sleek modern look combined with good heat rejection and the result was - one very happy and satisfied customer.  We had solved his problem with a minimal cash outlay and helped him save money on Air Conditioning costs in the summer months and also reduced heating costs in the winter months.

Shady Days Sponsor Duckworth’s Discovery 3
Shady Days provided window films for a modified Ex. G4 Disco 3 used by Ben Duckworth and Howard Belt during a trip to Morocco which was featured in Landrover Owner Magazine. We applied our high performance Silhouette film - SP20 to the luggage area windows and the lighter film - SP40 to the rear doors. Silhouette is a reflective charcoal film with excellent heat rejection which proved very useful in the Moroccan heat and gave reassuring privacy on the trip by hiding expensive equipment.

Full Privacy Tints For Official Landover Display Vehicles
We were approached by a Gatwick based media company who handles product launches and promotional events such as the well known G4 Challenge. They had some vehicles which were to be suspended or mounted on displays which needed to be made lighter by removing the engines, transmissions and interiors so to hide the fact that the interiors were missing and give the cars a sleek look we were asked to apply film to all the windows. The vehicles were delivered to us on trailers already stripped out never to be driven again.
