At the Grimsby Institute, the users of an IT room were having issues with glare on their monitors. The room also was frequently getting too hot, through a combination of lots of computers running and heat from outside on sunny days.
In an attempt to remedy the problems, the Grimsby Institute called Shady Days to enquire about having window tints installed. Quickly, and without interuption to classes, our expert was able to apply reflective window tints to these large windows.
Now, this IT room remains at a comfortable temperature year round, and the users no longer suffer from the glare they previously did. The blinds previously used were taken down, and with them went the associated maintenance costs of cleaning.
Window films can be cleaned just like regular glass, and also give the added benefits of being able to see out, providing privacy against people looking in, and retaining heat in the winter. Now, the room has a fresh new look, both inside and out.

The Showroom at Grimsby Tyre and Auto Centre features a glass divider. The owner looked at this and thought it too plain, so called Shady Days to enquire about window tinting.
After giving a quote, Grimsby Tyre and Auto Centre had our expert window tinter come in and apply a light tint to the windows, to give a subtle effect.
Now, thanks to window film, the glass divide looks less plain, and offers a degree of privacy to the people inside without looking forbidding to customers, all while allowing a good view of the showroom from inside.

At Holydyke Funeral Home, the receptionist was complaining of frequent headaches brought on by glare coming from the buildings glass front.
Needing a way to inhibit the sunlight, the funeral home called Shady Days, and we quickly came out to advise. Deciding on a 20% light tint, we tinted the windows in an afternoon.
Glare is no longer a problem, and on top of that, the windows now reject excess heat in the summer, retain heat in the winter, provide enhanced privacy, and also attracts attention to the logo on the window.

| From inside, looking out into the bright sunlight was difficult. |
With window tints fitted, the sun's harsh rays are reflected, with virtually no penalty to visibility. |

People in the offices of BallisticBlue.com had a problem: the large windows on the front of the office were nice, but often let a huge amount of glare and sunlight into the building. In the summer, the room would get far too hot, and in the winter, the heating was always on. To top it off, these huge windows offered any passers by a full view of the front area of the building.
Having had enough of these problems, they called Shady Days. After an initial consultation and quote, we had their windows tinted in a matter of hours. The reflective film we applied to the window rejects excess heat, glare and UV rays from the sun, as well as providing privacy from passers by looking into the building. Not only that, but the office front now has a cleaner look, and we were even able to apply the company's logo to the window for them, in a place where it stands out.
When looking out of the window, visibility is virtually unaffected, yet the sun doesn't seem quite so bright. Thanks to Shady Days, workplace discomfort due to sunlight is now a thing of the past.

Associated British Ports contracted Shady Days to tint the windows of their Marine Control Centre in Immingham. Being on the docks, next to an open body of water, a lot of sunlight hits the building, a problem compounded by the sun reflecting off the water.
So Shady Days called round, and fitted a film which extensively reduced the amount of glare experienced by people in the building, previous a huge problem for a building focused on monitoring ships which are just outside its window.
The film acts as a barrier, rejecting excess sunlight and associated glare, UV rays and heat, whilst also preventing heat from escaping through the windows in colder weather. Since the films are inside the building, the salty air around the docks will cause no problem with them. Maintenance is also easy: the films can be cleaned just as the window would, making this a more scalable solution to excess sunlight than blinds.
Now, workers at ABP Marine Control Immingham have a much more pleasant time looking out to monitor ships, or even just to appreciate the view.

North East Lincolnshire council contacted Shady Days for advice on how privacy window films can be used in the changing rooms at the new sports pavilion project at Bradley fields. We recommended a frost film to be applied to the changing room and toilet windows, and a smoke film be used everywhere else.
Our expert window tinter did just this, and now, the brand new development has an extra layer of finish. Additional privacy and better temperature regulation can now be enjoyed by all.
